STRICTLY BOATERS BOAT SHOW, May 2,3,4 2014… What’s so special about this year’s boat show!

The docks are freshly pressure washed, the Saltwater Cafe is open for business, and Fathoms has been restocked….South Jersey Marina is ready for the Strictly Boaters Boat Show! Most of the slips on B-Dock, and all of the Transient and Rail Dock have been spoken for, but there are still slips and space if you want to get on board. Or if you have a trade or brokerage, we have room for you too! Call us.

Do you remember the “Bounty” as in “Mutiny on the Bounty?” If so, you probably know that this historic square rigged ship was a victim of Hurricane Sandy in 2012 when she foundered off our coast with the loss of two crew members including the Captain and Fletcher Christian’s great-great-great-great Granddaughter. You probably also know there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the loss of this beautiful “movie-star” and members of her crew. Well, New Jersey’s own native son, Doug Campbell, has co-authored a book about this tragedy called, “Rescue of the Bounty.” Doug has agreed to join us for a limited engagement book signing on Friday, May 2nd during the Strictly Boaters Boat Show. If you’re a person who loves the sea and true mystery, this is an opportunity you will not want to miss.

On Saturday, after the show, the Recreational Fishing Alliance in conjunction with South Jersey’s Charter Captains will hold a “Meet and Greet” across the street at Lucky Bones Backwater Grill. So, plan on attending the show, and after the show closes at 4:00 meander across the street and join us in Lucky Bone’s back room to talk fishing and boats. If all goes according to plan, we also hope to hold a special press conference about an opportunity of a lifetime. Again, something not to be missed.

Finally, if you’re coming to the boat show from south of the Bay… and we hope you are… you should know that the Cape May Lewes Ferry is offering a group discount for anyone who takes the ferry during the boat show. Simply use the code word “BOATSHOW” when you book your crossing and receive a 40% discount.

So, there’s a lot going on during the boat show. For more information about what’s on display, who’s coming and what’s happening, please visit: or call us at 609-898-9500.

See you at the boat show!
